I am a seasoned South African executive with more than 28 years of corporate experience in diverse industries traversing the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors. For the past 16 years, I paralleled my executive role by having served as a non-executive director of both public and private sector entities. Fully versant issues facing the corporate world.

Led Teams of 75 to 750 people Received Transformation awards Currently, Global Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Internal Auditors (based in Florida, USA) servicing 200 000 members over 170 countries – I am the first African Woman to assume the Chairman position. Presented at various conferences held globally on a variety of topics ranging from corporate governance, risk management, fraud, compliance, women in leadership, the impact of AI and robotics on industries, emerging issues in the financial services industry, the value of key performance indicators, eFuture and Digital Fraud. I was the “Internal Auditor of the year” in 2014 in South Africa. Played an integral role in shaping and launching the strategic plan for the African Federation of the Institute of Internal Auditors (AFIIA). Successfully spearheaded and implemented combined assurance at FirstRand Bank – walked the journey for 10 years, became a keynote presenter on the topic nationally and internationally Was the sponsor and brainchild for the “Let’s Connect” initiative at the Bank – promoting gender consciousness and bridging the gap between Boards and talent in the organization.
