Aida is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Islamic Finance Professional (CIFP). She has an honours degree in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She is a fellow member of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).

Highly qualified finance professional with more than 20 years of experience in senior management roles ranging from Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Deputy Treasurer and Advisor to the Board of Directors and shareholders both in developing strategic outcomes and operational consistencies • Game changer by setting up the Islamic asset management business for Aberdeen Asset Management as CEO and experienced revenue earnings driver through new investments and market products utilisation • Extensive experience in treasury markets trading and investing particularly in capital market products such as global bonds, sukuk, equities and hedging market exposures in crude oil, currency and interest rate using derivatives • Results-driven and consistent in exceeding target returns in billions of USD worth of strategic investment and trading portfolios in multi-currencies in both conventional and Shariah-compliant portfolios • Strategic investment expert with strong knowledge and experience in both fundamental micro and macro assessment methodology, including but not limited to technical analysis, quantitative and market psychology - Lead various teams of 20 or more people and led initiatives and projects across different divisions for the Group in various companies. - Actively managed strategic investment and trading portfolios; strategic international bond portfolios worth billions of USD, AUD, CAD, EUR, GBP and tactical trading portfolios in Government and Corporate Bonds worth millions of USD, using mixed approach of fundamental and technical analyses • Investment portfolios were extensive, ranging from Government Bonds, Supranational, Sovereigns, Agencies, Corporates, Floating Rate Notes, Structured Products and Derivatives (Options, CDS, ABS, IRS) for asset liability management. Tenure varied from short to long ends and AAA to BBB rated bonds and sukuk • Generated returns in strategic international portfolios that outperformed the benchmark • Implementation of new investment products and alternative markets • Focal member of Asset Allocation team in dynamic macro asset allocation of PETRONAS’ funds • Formulated performance benchmarks for international portfolios for mark-to-market investment purposes
