Opportunity

The company is looking for a talented and ambitious Financial Executive to lead the company’s financial planning, accounting, HR, IT, legal and administrative functions. Reporting to the CEO, the person who fills this role will not only be an accomplished accountant and financial manager but will also be commercially savvy and provide advice on the best path of growth for the business. Duties will include developing and managing budgets, performing financial analysis, overseeing all accounting, audit, and statutory reporting activities, and managing the administrative functions of the business, including HR, IT, and legal activities. As a senior team member in a growing company, the person who fills this role will be expected to perform autonomously in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Objectives

  • Core Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage the company’s annual operating budget and prepare monthly financial updates for management and the company’s Board of Directors and investors.
  • Oversee the monthly and quarterly close process and the annual audit, including quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements.
  • Oversee the company’s Israeli legal entity and local support staff in-country as well as China and Singapore entities (the company is a Delaware company).
  • Fulfill all local tax reporting requirements in the USA, Israel, Singapore, and China in a timely manner coordinating with 3rd party tax preparer.
  • Manage the company’s general ledger including AP/AR, quarterly sales commissions, employee expense reimbursement, payroll, and benefits (including 401K plan) with third-party vendors.
  • Complete quarterly reporting for licensors and suppliers to whom the company has ongoing payment obligations based on sales volumes.
  • Implement and maintain appropriate controls to ensure that company cash and other assets are used appropriately.
  • Oversee all procurement, inventory management, and logistics activities performed by the Procurement Specialist or others.
  • Oversee the Company’s annual 409A valuation, quarterly investor reporting, and ensure compliance with any debt facilities.
  • Support fundraising activities including preparation of financial models, investor presentations, and coordination of closing and reporting.
  • Oversee all HR activities including the preparation of employee offer letters, consulting agreements, and separation agreements in coordination with the Company’s outside counsel, as required, and the administrative aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding.
  • Oversee the administration activities of the Company including but not limited to: - Company’s office and equipment leases in Westwood, MA and any future leases. - Company’s outsourced IT vendor, insurance policies, legal and tax matters.
  • Maintain the Company’s HR and legal files including employee agreements, performance reviews, partner agreements, etc.
